Hospital Partnerships
Insception Lifebank is at the forefront of stem cell developments. We are honoured to be the only umbilical cord stem cell program in Canada that has official partnerships with world class medical and research institutions. A portion of revenues generated from cord blood collections are paid to the hospital partners and directed towards supporting clinical research, education, medical equipment and other investments in patient care.

Sinai Health System
In 2004, Insception Biosciences partnered with Mount Sinai Hospital to enhance the quality of stem cell collection and storage for Mount Sinai patients. Insception Lifebank’s satellite office is located within Mount Sinai’s Ontario Power Generation Building at 700 University Ave, Room 3-103, Toronto, Ontario. Here, you will find an Insception Lifebank Clinical Consultant who is ready to answer all of your questions about cord blood and cord tissue banking. Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre
In September 2013, Insception Lifebank partnered with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre to advance education and services regarding cord blood banking to expectant parents. Sunnybrook is home to one of the largest high-risk birthing centres and neonatal intensive care units in Canada, and is an internationally recognized leader in research and education. Through the partnership, patients at Sunnybrook will have access to a dedicated Clinical Consultant on-site to provide education, materials and support regarding cord blood storage. Grand River Hospital
Grand River Hospital (GRH) delivers more than 4,000 babies each year – about 10 percent of all babies in the Greater Toronto Area. GRH is one of the first Ontario hospitals that achieved a World Health Organization/Unicef Baby-Friendly hospital designation. GRH partnered with Insception Lifebank in 2017 as an independent preferred vendor to ensure patients are educated about umbilical cord blood and tissue banking.
The Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine
Insception Lifebank is proud to sponsor the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine (CCRM), a Canadian not-for-profit, public-private consortium funded by the Government of Canada’s Networks of Centres of Excellence program, consisting of six Ontario-based institutional partners and more than 20 companies representing the key sectors of the regenerative medicine industry. CCRM supports the development of technologies that accelerate the commercialization of stem cell and biomaterials-based technologies and therapies. The office, located at the Banting and Best Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurshipat the University of Toronto, has a 6,000 square foot development facility that houses three platforms: Cell Reprogramming and Engineering; Cell Manufacturing; and, Biomaterials and Devices. A network of academics, industry and entrepreneurs, CCRM translates scientific discoveries into marketable products for patients. CCRM launched in Toronto’s Discovery District on June 14, 2011.
