We use the bag method, which allows the cord blood to flow naturally through the needle, from the umbilical cord into our collection materials. This method guarantees that a high volume of cord blood is collected, so that more stem cells can be extracted from it in our laboratory.
We also ensure that healthcare providers who work with us are trained in safely collecting cord blood. At Insception Lifebank, the health of the delivering mother and child are paramount; although cord blood collection inherently poses no risk to either mother or child, we take extra care ensuring the safety of both.
