It’s that time again for new and expecting parents. The newest cord blood education sessions provided and hosted by Insception Lifebank are coming to medical centres near you in both Ontario and Alberta.
One of the sessions will be held on August 21 at the Rockyview Professional Centre in downtown Calgary, which will begin at 6:00pm local time. The other session will also be held tomorrow but inside Insception Lifebank’s Head Office in Mississauga. The Mississauga event also includes tours of the facility, and will begin at 6:30 pm local time.
At each educational event, registered cord blood specialists will be on hand to discuss the benefits and success stories that come from banking a baby’s umbilical cord blood. Part of the sessions will invite families to ask questions and participate in a discussion about the benefits of cord blood as well as the new cord tissue banking.
In each of the sessions, the specialists will steer the conversation towards certain topics and encourage lively debate among attendees. Some of the topics that are most likely to be up for discussion are:
· What is the difference between cord blood and cord tissue banking
· What are the benefits of banking cord blood and cord tissue
· What can cord blood and cord tissue banking do to help your family
· How does the collection process proceed
· How is the banked sample stored over time
The sessions are held in the evening hours as a way to help you work around your busy schedule. But if you are unable to attend one of the sessions tomorrow, there are also monthly online cord blood education sessions. If this is an easier option for you to learn more about cord blood, you can easily register for the online session that best fits in your schedule.
